ByteScout PDF Multitool can help you perform a myriad of operations related to PDF documents. In this respect, the program integrates various utilities intended for extracting data, converting to other formats, managing sensitive data, recognizing text from scanned documents and merging PDFs, among some others.
The program has a straightforward interface, very similar to that of a word processor. However, it has the peculiarity of a left side panel in which the different utilities are organized as a tree according to their purposes. Regrettably, it does not allow opening various documents simultaneously.
Since some of the utilities in this suite deserve a separate review, I will mention some of the most important ones. In the Data Extraction category, you can find utilities that let you extract text from a PDF in such formats as TXT, CSV, XLS, XML and JSON. This has the advantage of detecting tables, so it will not make a mess of the text in a table. Fortunately, it lets you export the data entered in forms. In addition to text, there are utilities that can also extract embedded images and attachments.
In terms of conversion, there are various tools intended to convert the opened document to other formats, including a series of bitmaps, multi-page TIFFs, EMF and HTML. As to sensitive data, there are various separate utilities to analyze, detect and remove any data likely to affect your privacy. more
